Print data
The print data must meet the specifications set out under “File formats”, otherwise no guarantee can be given for the print result.

Printing data for wheel charts
In addition to the specifications given below, the following must be observed when creating the print data:
• Addition of 3 mm to all of the punch
• Distance from text elements to punched edges:
– To outer edges min. 3 mm
– to window edges min. 1.5 mm
– of contents under windows to window edges min. 1.5 mm
• Create punch contours as a line with 0.3 point in 100% magenta in a separate PDF file
• Insert the disc center points as a cross or circle D = 3.4 mm in the type of the liner

File formats
The best print results are achieved with vectorized PDF or EPS files.
PDF file
PDF data must conform to the PDF / X-3: 2002 standard
Please note the following PDF specifications:
• PDF version must be 1.3
• No transparency
• no colored sample cells / tile patterns
• No comments or form fields
• no encryption (e.g., password protection)
• No OPI comments
• no transfer curves
• Specify an output intent
In addition to the requirements of the PDF / X-3: 2002 standard:
• all fonts must be converted to paths
• no layers may be created
Alternatively, JPG data can also be used for printing.
However, this may lead to slight blurring in the text area.
JPG file
• Use only standard JPG format (for example, no JPG 2000)
• Save with maximum quality and baseline (default)
Resolution
The image resolution should be at least 300 dpi.
Colour
• Color mode: CMYK
• Maximum ink application: 300%
• If the color is less than 10%, the color of the print result may be very weak
Adding bleed
A trimming allowance of 3 mm is to be applied on all sides.
Font sizes
Avoid font sizes below 6 points.
Black correctly
Black and gray objects such as text or lines must always be applied in pure black (e.g., cyan 0%, magenta 0%, yellow 0%, black 100%).
Line strengths
• Positive lines (dark line on light background): Minimum thickness 0.25 point (0.09 mm)
• Negative lines (light line on a dark background): Minimum thickness 0.5 point (0.18 mm)
• Font size (contour font is white): Minimum thickness 2 point (0.7 mm)
• In the case of reduced graphics, the line intensities may also not be less than this
